Signs That Your Indoor Air Quality Is Compromised

What Is Indoor Air Quality Testing?
While you can watch out for the signs we mentioned above that indicate your home’s indoor air quality is compromised, it may be beneficial to have the air tested. Indoor air quality testing involves a comprehensive evaluation of your home’s air to identify potential pollutants, allergens, and contaminants. We utilize cutting-edge technology and advanced techniques to measure the air quality, identifying issues such as mold spores, pet dander, cigarette smoke, and other particles that could compromise your well-being. After conducting the test, we can recommend the best indoor air quality solutions for the specific pollutants wreaking havoc on your household. We Install and Service Air Filtration Systems
Air filtration is one of the most basic ways in which to raise the quality of the air in your home. It is also one of the most effective. As part of our indoor air quality services for Santa Fe and northern New Mexico residents, we’ll help you determine if this route is the most appropriate one and assist you in finding the right air filtration system for your home.We Install and Service Air Purifiers
Not all pollutants can simply be filtered out of the air in your home. In such cases, an electronic air purifier may be necessary. Such systems give pollutants an electric charge, after which they collect on collector plates or on surfaces in the home, and are simply wiped away.We Provide Professional Radon Testing
Not all indoor air contaminants are easy to find, nor do they all cause immediate symptoms to alert you of their presence. Radon is one of these contaminants. This is a colorless, odorless radioactive gas with detrimental side effects. Long–term exposure to a high level of radon has the potential to cause lung cancer. With today’s tight construction, radon can easily get trapped within your home. Let our professionals perform radon testing to determine if the levels of radon in your home warrant mitigation. We Install and Service UV Air Purifiers
Biological pollutants, such as viruses, mold, and bacteria, can have very serious implications for your health and for the condition of your property. UV air purifiers, such as UV germicidal lights, can help you to avoid such problems. They must be professionally installed and serviced to do so, though. That’s where our indoor air quality services for Santa Fe and northern New Mexico households come in. We’ll carefully install your new system and keep it in tip-top condition for years to come.We Offer Air Duct Cleaning
If you use a forced air distribution system, you need to keep your ductwork clean. This may require professional air duct cleaning if debris has built up within your system. Fortunately, we have the tools and training to get the job done right. We Offer Duct Sealing
Leaking ductwork is a serious issue. It wastes energy and puts indoor air quality at risk. Put down the duct tape, schedule professional duct sealing with us, and say goodbye to indoor air pollution. We Can Help You With Your Insulation Needs
In addition to specializing in indoor air quality services in Santa Fe and the surrounding northern New Mexico areas, we also offer top-tier insulation services. Proper insulation is a key component in maintaining an energy-efficient home. Our experts will assess your insulation needs and ensure your home stays cozy in the winter and cool in the summer, further enhancing your comfort and reducing your energy costs.-

I'm a repeat Roadrunner customer because of how reliable they are. The installers are always super professional. Last week Harrison and Albert installed a new minisplit system in my living room. I was much smaller than my old system … More and they repaired the wall beautifully. They also showed me photographs of how they sealed all the connections on the roof. -

We loved working with them. They installed 3 mini-splits for us a few weeks ago, and all of them were really professional, starting from the top down with Terrence. The main contractors were Julian and Mauri, and we trusted them with our … More house and the project totally. They were respectful to us (we are in our 60s) as well. Joel and Matthew were great too. We were told they weren't the cheapest in the area, but you get what you pay for, their warranties are fab, and we were advised very well by Terrence re what to buy and where to install the units. Overall a great experience! -

Starting with getting an appointment, Matthew was most helpful! Then when Gus and Horacio came to service our AC they were extremely polite and professional. All the options were offered and they make sure I understood the service needed. … More Excellent and I highly recommend them. -

Gus from Roadrunner AC came and serviced our mini-split, he quickly diagnosed the issue, and even though it took him a while to fix it, when he left, it was working perfectly. Gus was friendly and helpful in explaining what he was doing … More and why. Super happy with their prompt service. -

I had a garage/studio built last year that is very well insulated. It gets too cold in winter and too hot in summer to be comfortable.
Friends of ours had Mitsubishi mini-splits installed by Roadrunner air conditioning and heating last … More year. Our friends were extremely complimentary of their Roadrunner experience, so I decided to call Roadrunner for an estimate in early May for a quote. I definitely wanted to beat the hot season rush on air conditioning.
I requested a quote for the studio/garage and thought I might as well get a quote for the house. Every room was measured to know the cubic feet that needed to be cooled/heated to engineer the most effective and efficient system. The price seemed fair. Terrence, the CEO of Roadrunner did the engineering and estimating. We liked what Terrence had to say about Roadrunner personnel and the fact that our friends had an excellent experience we decided to go with Roadrunner.
Two weeks later on our scheduled installation date, Terrence came with the installation crew to introduce the three young men that would be installing the system. After discussing the installation and location of all units Terrence left and the crew got to work.
The installation crew were three friendly and respectful young men. It was obvious that they were well trained technically and in customer service skills. Every day started with setting the expectations of where they were going to work and what they expected to accomplish. At the end of each day the crew cleaned up and briefed us about what was accomplished and when to expect them the following day. It can be uncomfortable to have people working in your home but not with this Roadrunner crew.
Installation ran the course of four days for the house and the studio combined. We really enjoyed having these three men work in our home. They were kind and friendly to us and our dogs. After the installation was complete, they trained us on the new system, cleaned up the work areas, and left us with expertly installed mini-split system in the house and studio.
We are completely impressed with Roadrunner air conditioning and heating. The staff was awesome to work with. We enjoyed all of the people we encountered. It’s really nice to work with a company that is so customer and employee focused.
This may sound crazy but we do miss the three young men who were here working in our home for four days.
We Install and Service Heat Recovery Ventilators (HRV)
A heat recovery ventilator is used throughout the year to exchange heat between incoming air and the old, stale air leaving your home. This allows you to precondition the air, taking some strain off of your HVAC systems while also allowing for great ventilation.
Benefits of Using Indoor Air Quality Systems
Once they understand the importance of good air quality, many homeowners wonder if it’s really necessary to invest in solutions outside of routine duct cleaning. They frequently ask us, “Isn’t cleaning the air ducts sufficient enough?” While this service is extremely important, homeowners would be missing out on a host of benefits if they don’t consider installing IAQ solutions like an air filter or purifier. To help you determine if these systems are right for your home, take a look at the top advantages of using an IAQ system:
- Healthier Living: Poor indoor air quality can lead to a range of health issues, including respiratory problems, allergies, and fatigue. Our indoor air quality systems help remove harmful pollutants and allergens, ensuring you and your family can breathe easier.
- Enhanced Comfort: An indoor air quality system can regulate temperature and humidity levels, creating a more comfortable living environment. Say goodbye to stuffy, dry air or excessive humidity that makes life just a bit more unbearable.
- Energy Efficiency: Our IAQ systems are designed to work seamlessly with your HVAC unit, optimizing its performance and reducing energy consumption, ultimately leading to lower utility bills.
- Reduced Maintenance: By filtering out particles that can clog your HVAC air filters, these systems can extend the lifespan of your equipment and reduce the need for frequent maintenance.
