The ideal time for AC maintenance in Santa Fe is before the sweltering northern New Mexico heat sets in. We recommend scheduling a tune-up in the spring to ensure your cooling system is prepared to handle the upcoming demands of the season. However, if you haven’t had your AC system maintained this year, it’s never too late to prioritize its health and efficiency. Regular AC tune-ups not only prevent unexpected breakdowns but also extend the lifespan of your equipment and keep your energy bills in check. Watch out for the following signs that indicate your AC unit is in desperate need of a tune-up:- Inadequate Cooling: If you notice uneven cooling or warm spots in your home, it’s a clear sign that your AC system needs attention.
- Increased Energy Bills: A sudden spike in energy bills can indicate reduced AC efficiency, which can be improved through maintenance.
- Foul Odors: Foul smells coming from your AC vents might indicate mold or bacterial growth, which needs to be addressed promptly.
- Frequent Cycling: If your AC system is turning on and off too frequently, it might be struggling to maintain the desired temperature due to a clogged filter or another issue.
More HVAC Services to Keep Your AC Equipment Running Smoothly
While regular maintenance is crucial for keeping your AC humming along, there are other equally important services to consider. Timely AC repair and air duct cleaning are like giving your AC system an extra layer of protection. Think of it this way: regular maintenance keeps your AC’s filters clean and components lubricated, but repairs address any unexpected issues that might arise. A failing sensor or a minor refrigerant leak, for instance, can quickly turn into a major problem if left unchecked. Catching these issues early guarantees your AC doesn’t work overtime to compensate, preventing unnecessary wear and tear. Air duct cleaning complements this by tackling the hidden enemy: dust buildup. Dust-filled air ducts hinder airflow, forcing your system to work harder to deliver the cool breeze you crave. By having them cleaned routinely, you remove this obstacle, allowing your AC to operate at peak performance. In simpler terms, timely repairs by our licensed contractors and air duct cleaning become a powerful tag team with regular maintenance, so your AC stays happy, healthy, and ready to keep you cool for years to come.Schedule Air Conditioning Maintenance in Santa Fe, NM, & Beyond With Our Experienced Professionals

I recently had Santa Fe’s Roadrunner Air install Mitsubishi floor type air conditioners in the sunroom of my home in Los Alamos, NM. The team from Roadrunner was lead by Justin and included Horacio, Ruben and others. They were outstanding. … More They were skilled, very capable, and polite when asked, what were probably, elementary questions.
Our project was skillfully planned and followed throughout the installation by Steve Booth (a PhD, of course, in Los Alamos). He is retired from the Los Alamos National Laboratory and is excellent at analyzing the requirements and matching them to the available Mitsubishi air conditioners. Clearly Roadrunner and their customers are very lucky to have such technical expertise.
I recommend Roadrunner and Steve Booth without reservation.

After site visits and proposals from many local heating and plumbing companies I was fortunate to choose Roadrunner for a switch from a gas tank to a new electric tank hot water heater. They are a stellar company with great staff and fair … More prices. Their bid was the most correct in what needed to be done as compared to what I received from other companies. The scheduler, the owner, and the installers know what they are doing and care about customer service. The two installers arrived timely in the morning, worked expertly and efficiently, solved unanticipated problems, and completed installation by lunchtime. I recommend Roadrunner!

Highly recommend Roadrunner.
I would first like to thank Horacio and Alcides, as well as Derek.
We had a ductless Mitsubishi mini split (heat pump) installed by Roadrunner.
We got quotes from a few companies. Roadrunner was clear choice … More just from time spent providing quote. and answering our questions.
Amazing company! Estimate visit and paperwork were thorough, they answered questions and checked in with us before install, no stress during installation, very neat, cleaned up after (including wiping down unit).
Highly recommend Roadrunner.
